DAMN!, 2026

It has been such a gratifying experience to work as a dramaturge on my dear friend and colleague Tea Andreolettiโ€™s riveting performance โ€œDAMN!โ€ which premiered in Italyโ€™s oldest and most prominent contemporary performance art festival Santarcangelo Festival in Santarcangelo di Romagna (near Rimini) on July 10th, 2026 and had replays the two following evenings.ย

In a condensed nutshell, โ€œDAMN!โ€ navigates the complexity of energy interests and the contradictions of renewable energy policies โ€“ often based on the indisputable demand of unlimited yet sustainable consumption. โ€œDAMN!โ€ is an attempt to bridge the gap between energy production and the final act of its consumptionโ€ฆ even if just for the duration of a song!
