Hija e Jetës (Jeta’s shadow), 2004

“Jeta’s shadow” is a play about the avoidance of open mourning of a loved one that has passed away. In her journey of self-discovery, both as a woman as well as an artist, Blerta, a student of visual arts, trips over her difficult relationship with her father, Hasan, a successful but dubious lawyer who has just started to move on from grieving over his wife’s passing and is considering a new life for himself. Not dealing with the loss of Jeta, the mother and the wife, becomes a hurdle not only in the father-daughter relationship, but further, a blockade of a promising future for both of them.

“Jeta’s shadow” won the award for the Best Originally Written Play at Skena UP’s 2004 edition- an International Theater and Film Festival established in Prishtina, Kosova.
