“The Veil” was born during the second edition of the theater summer camp, the realization of which was focused on the “Loyola” high school, in continuous communication with “Loyola Tranzit” and with research carried out in the Tranzit Neighborhood and for me it marks the culmination of my commitment in collaboration with a massive team of over a hundred people!
This play, similar to “The Roundabout to Fantomia” has been among the most difficult to realize because the topic we dealt with in it, was based on the unfortunately bitter experience of some participants of the summer camp who, without their desire and approval, were engaged, that is, promised as brides to men they probably did not even know, in exchange for a monetary sum for their families. Although this artistic process inspired these collaborators to raise their voices against arranged marriages, this terrible phenomenon of forced marriages of underage girls continues to exist in Kosova and other countries in the region and the world! Considering the heavy weight of the story of this play and its emotional sensitivity, we chose to have the communication in it occur mainly through dance and body language.
